Many of you contacted me for more information about triangulation. Here is just 2 examples of triangulation:
• A husband who is upset with his wife might start spending more time with their child. Many Dads become more involved parents upon separation or divorce!
• A distressed wife might start confiding about the marital difficulties with their child.
Triangulation is particularly noticeable in families of divorce. When parents use children to relay messages or involve the child in adult matters, this can create tension and place the child in an unhealthy triangulated situation.
